โ€œThe Consumer Council of Zimbabwe acknowledges receipt of your email and the concerns raised in relation to Chicken Inn, a local food brand under Innscor Africa Limited, which you claim has been allegedly serving food with cancer-causing Genetically Modified products to the public.

โ€œIn order to get to the bottom of this issue, CCZ has engaged, among others, authorities that deal with Food, including the Ministry of Healthy and Child Care. The Council has also partnered with other stakeholders to conduct independent lab tests on the product in question, to allow for proper verification of the allegations and as part of due process,โ€states the letter.

Mupambi has joined in the fight against Innsor which runs the fast foods outlet, Chicken Inn ,which was precipitated by Rutendo Matinyarare. Matinyarare was taken to court by Innscor for defamation after the alleged cancer causing GMO foods it is being accused of supplying. It is against this legal onslaught which Matinyarare lost that has led to activist like Mupambi to also amplify their voices on these concerns .
