Rutendo Benson Matinyarare is the Chairperson and Spokeperson of ZASM. Mr Matinyarare is an anti-sanctions and human rights activist who before joing ZASM co-founded Zimbabwe Unite Against US War Sanctions. He is also the CEO of Frontline Start Marketing Consultancy. He is a brand architect, marketing strategist and communication specialist. He has been in the marketing space for over 22 years and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). His key competencies are brand management, marketing execution, digital marketing, marketing communication, crisis and reputation management. Previous clients include: McKinsey & Company; Proctor & Gamble; CoAL of Africa; Intel, Cricket South Africa; Biotech; Tadvest; Urban Brew Studios; Musa Capital; City of Johannesburg; Anesu Gold Zimbabwe; Dr James Makamba; and Yvonne Chaka Chana Princess Foundation.
Rutendo was instrumental in lobbying for the government’s current regional and continental publicity campaign against sanctions, while his proposals to key government officials pushed for the establishment of the Patriotic Act.
